OUR HISTORY OF FILM FESTIVALS
In 2004, AMERICAN FILM RENAISSANCE hosted the world's first-ever film festival featuring movies that celebrated America's timeless, traditional and foundational values such as free speech, free enterprise, religious freedom and rugged individualism. Since then, AFR has held film festivals across the country from Michigan to Dallas, Hollywood to Washington.
In October 2008, AFR celebrated five years of festivals with 08 AFR DC, a 4-day festival in our nation's Capitol. 08 AFR DC featured world premieres of several documentaries and short films (including Do As I Say and U.N. Me), entertaining feature films (David Zucker's An American Carol and actor Robert Davi's directorial debut, The Dukes), celebrities, and four nights of parties.
